What documents do I need to rent a bike in Auroville?
A valid two-wheeler driving licence and one original photo ID (passport, Aadhaar or driving licence). The original ID is kept safely and returned when you drop the vehicle. Foreign travellers can use their passport with an International Driving Permit.
How much is the security deposit?
A refundable deposit of ₹500 per vehicle. It is returned in full when the vehicle comes back in the same condition.
What are the daily, weekly and monthly rental prices?
Scooters start from ₹350 per day and bikes from ₹550 per day. Weekly and monthly rentals work out much cheaper per day – see the live price list on this page. Prices can change in peak season, so please confirm on WhatsApp.
Is fuel included?
No. You get the vehicle with enough fuel to reach the nearest petrol bunk, and you return it with the same level.
Are helmets included?
Yes, a helmet is included free with every rental. Riding with a pillion? Helmets are compulsory for both riders in Puducherry, so tell us when you book.
Can you deliver the bike to my guest house?
